Recognized industry thought leader, Mr. Frank is a frequent speaker on key issues of digital business.
Malcolm Frank is Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Marketing Officer of Cognizant. He joined Cognizant in 2005 and has helped the company grow to over 260,000 professionals. Prior to joining Cognizant, he was CEO of CXO Systems, CEO of NerveWire Inc., and Senior Vice President at Cambridge Technology Partners.
As a recognized industry thought leader, Mr. Frank is a frequent speaker on key issues of digital business. He is co-author of the 2014 best-seller “Code Halos” and 2017’s “What to do When Machines do Everything.” He regularly attends the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos where he has spoken on the topic of how AI, algorithms, big data and robotic process automation is impacting business, jobs, and economic policy. Mr. Frank is frequently quoted in the press, is the subject of a Harvard Business School case study on Leadership and Management and was named “One of the most influential people in finance” by Risk Management Magazine.
Mr. Frank is also a member of the FactSet Board of Directors.
He is a graduate of Yale University with a degree in Economics.

Cognizant Technologies Solution’s Drone Venture
Mr. Kranz is the Chief Pilot and Sr. Technical Architect for Cognizant Technologies Solution’s Drone Venture. Cognizant is a Fortune 200, multinational IT consulting company. Mr. Kranz is involved in business development, technology evangelism, and solution architecture in the emerging Optionally Manned (OM) and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) sector with respect to machine vision, Big Data and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Additionally he is responsible for delivering solutions, best practices, design patterns, patent applications, white papers, podcasts and journal articles as they relate to data collection, analytics and visualizations in the unmanned aircraft field.
Mr. Kranz is also a USA certificated private pilot, single engine land rated with both high performance and complex endorsements. Additionally Mr. Kranz is a USA certificated 14 CFR, part 107 commercial rated remote drone operator and RO1 commercial operator in Norway. He has over 30 years’ experience with robotics, machine vision, radar processing, target tracking and remotely operated aircraft.
Finally, Mr. Kranz is a member of the FAA Unmanned Aircraft Safety Team (UAST) in the United States, whose goal it is to provide industry direction and promote safety within the UAS community.

Narayan Iyer serves as the Venture Leader for Cognizant’s Drones venture, which is focused on generating commercial value from Drone captured data using AI and Image Analytics. Mr. Iyer also manages technology investments in the Drone/Image Analytics space for Cognizant.
Previously, Mr. Iyer has spent more than twenty years bringing to market new ways of generating business value through ventures in sophisticated data analytics.

Data captured by drones offer tremendous opportunities for creating business value. Large amounts of Images, Video, Thermal Images, LiDAR data about infrastructure stored in an enterprise data lake are a prime opportunity for Image Analytics along with Complex Event Processing, IoT and AI to create opportunities for automation.
