Roland Revsäter joins us at Cognizant’s Sweden office as a Service Line Specialist (SLS), Digital Business & Technology for Industry+, including the Internet of Things. Here he lets us know what can transform a client business and that he enjoys restoring antique radios in his spare time.
How will you take on this new role?
I am super excited to join Cognizant and I believe that the focus on services and a flexible open solution approach will be a winner going forward.
What did you do prior to Cognizant?
Over the last 20 years, I have been working at IBM, where I held several positions involving leading complex development projects, business development, and technical sales. With a solid background in data, cloud, digitalization, and machine learning, I know how these areas can transform client business.
For the last 5 years, I have been a key member of the IBM Watson IoT team, driving the sales of IBM IoT solutions and software. My main responsibilities have been business development and solutions design, including driving the growth of the IBM partner community. Before IBM I also worked for Ericsson, among others, an employer that later also become one of his clients at IBM.
I also hold a Master of Science in Theoretical Physics, electronics, computer science, and mathematics from Lund University.
What do you enjoy doing when not at work? Tell us a fun fact.
I live in Stockholm with my wife and two daughters. My personality is very energetic, and I usually keep a positive outlook on life. Any activity involving mountains is my favorite. Also, I am an active beer brewer, who enjoys restoring antique radios and building retro computers.
